Fruits and vegetables are not only good for a healthy body and keeping fit, according to a study published in the journal BMC Medicine. The results of this study indicate that depression is related to nutrient deficiency, so that the better a person’s eating habits, the better their mental health. Healthier foods include nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Omega-3 fatty acids and various vitamins and minerals are the nutrients associated with a greater reduction in the risk of depression. The objective of this study, carried out on more than fifteen thousand people, is to understand what role nutrition plays in mental health, since dietary patterns could be created that would help maintain a healthy mind.
